Educational Transformation for a Better World

Here at IVECA International Virtual Schooling, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world more peaceful and sustainable by transforming education towards directly connected intercultural collaborative teaching and learning. Our work is inspired by intercultural competence and increasing our global connections throughout the world. We strive to build respectful and compassionate relationships among people, schools and countries, and make a positive impact with our UN-supported curriculum and programming for global citizenship.

Goals & Mission

Promote Interculturally Competent Global Citizens for Peace and Sustainable Development

The IVECA Center for International Virtual Schooling values diversity, human dignity, compassion, and solidarity for peace and sustainable development.  Established in 2009, the IVECA Center implements Intercultural Virtual Exchange of Classroom Activities (IVECA) into regular school curricula and university courses around the world. It aims to produce interculturally competent global citizens who are capable of understanding and reconciling cultural diversity, utilizing knowledge and information creatively, and working collaboratively with people from different cultures and different language backgrounds.

We pursue to implement the IVECA intercultural education program into all levels of schools around the world to transform education and learning systems toward value-based and ICT-facilitated 21st Century education. Through the research and pilot projects, we also strive to suggest educational support system for the future schooling of all, in collaboration with other universities, the United Nations system, international NGOs and business groups.

The IVECA Center for International Virtual Schooling is dedicated to:

  • Connecting K-12 school classrooms and university courses to promote intercultural competence and global collaborative learning

  • Supporting educators to be able to engage the 21st-century students in the intercultural and globalized learning environment 

  • Helping students in developed and developing countries share quality education together through the intercultural virtual exchange platform and live video conferencing 

  • Facilitating intercultural dialogues between people around the world to expand their global perspective that is essential for solving international issues interconnected with their local problems

  • Contributing to nations’ capacity building by reducing the digital divide in education through the partnership with various organizations that distribute technologies and energy resources
