About the Event

IVECA’s 2023 UN SDG Summit Follow-Up Event, Greening Global Citizenship Education in Multi-stakeholder Partnership to Promote Environmental Sustainability, will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City on November 13th, 2023. The United Nations SDG Summit, held in mid-September, marked the beginning of accelerated progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals deadline of 2030.

Hosted by IVECA International Virtual Schooling, this event will foster collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity among diverse stakeholders in accelerating global progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. It will bring together young leaders and students from various universities around the world to share their projects and solutions to environmental problems through the lens of global citizenship. The event will also feature high-level representatives from the UN Mission, UN System, academia, international organizations, NGOs, and the private sector, discussing effective partnership development towards global sustainability efforts.

The goal of the Greening Global Citizenship Education event is to amplify the role of global citizenship education in promoting environmental sustainability while encouraging enhanced awareness, collaborative opportunities, policy recommendations, youth-led solutions, and commitments to action. It is expected to provide insights toward suggesting “multilateral solutions for a better tomorrow,” the theme of the 2024 Summit of the Future. → Program details
